Podcast is a way to call audio files on the internet, but the differece is you can subscribe to those!The podcast word was inventid with the join of two words Pod (portable on demand) and broadcast.
Audio files should be stored on a server with .mp3 or .ogg extension.
.ogg is an extension used mostly on mac computers.
Nowadays this word is also been used on multimedia broadcasts on the net.
Most podcast are been published on rss feeds, so you can subscribe to those and get refreshed every new file!
To read a podcast, you need a normal multimedia player as could be windows media player, or apple iTunes.
